Environmentalism Run Amuck

For those of you who do not know about Agenda 21 (Google it at agenda21.com), it is bringing  the good cause of taking care of the environment to dangerous extremes. It is in fact so damaging, that it puts people out of work and sometimes out of their homes. It is the placing of the environment above everything else, to the point that it threatens the financial well being of the entire nation and is a main contributor to the threatened bankruptcy of America itself.

The latest chapter of this coming environmental disaster happened in Hernando County, Florida at a County Commissioners hearing, where Agenda 21 came up for discussion. It was presented as the “Environmentally Sensitive Lands Project”. This was done because a lot of people now know about Agenda 21, and they were trying to hide this while continuing to implement this harmful program.

It should first be pointed out that Diane Rowden (a well know tax and spend “Socialist”-Democrat who doubled the budget last time she was on the Commission) tried to block the discussion of certain topics by bringing up other issues. But the other Commissioners stopped this gross violation of parliamentary rules of debate. Diane Rowden is, in fact, a strong supporter of Agenda 21, as well as having unmanned flying Drones spying on Americans, plus she also supports computers, not people driving around in cars.

When Agenda 21 came up, Ronald Pianta was the spokesman for this group. He talked about how this project is using Florida State money, which is a cover-up for the fact that tax paying people of America are paying for this program, then he went on to say that this program is “Ongoing” as if it can not be stopped. He went on to describe how private land is being taken over by the government, but he did not say when this buying up of land will stop or how much land will be taken over by the government. It now stands at about 30% of the land in Florida, but how much more land is to be taken out of public ownership, will it 50%, 70%, or 99%. Who knows, it was not mentioned.

He talked only about how the birds and bees will be happy, but did not talk about how citizens will be squeezed into smaller and smaller living spaces that will finally look like the Soviet government building projects that most people agree are ugly and not safe to live in. These same type buildings were also built in New York City and other cities that also are called ugly, drab and crime ridden. It seems to be a trend about how the government builds housing that only the American people have to live in, not the politicians!

To sum this up; the tax payers are going to have to pay for this privately owned land to be taken over by the government, where only the government will decide how this land is used, not the public. In addition to having the tax payers pay for this with their hard earned money, the tax payers will also have to pay for the maintenance of this land they no longer own. The effects of this (that were not mentioned at this meeting) was that property taxes will no longer come from this government land and will have to be made up from other land that is still privately owned by higher property taxes from the public. This shows the method used here– force people out of their homes with higher taxes and fees, while lowering the cost of living in cities with, again, tax payer funded subsidies for people living in the cities.

It must be noted, that the public is already having a very hard  time economically, with too many American jobs having been sent to foreign countries, people are loosing their homes,  which causes families to break down. Agenda 21 will do much more damage to the American economy.

While Agenda 21 squeezes people into smaller and smaller parcels of land, it sort of “Stacks and Packs” them all into congested big city living conditions that are often crime ridden, with street gangs, prostitution, sticky stuff on subway seats, graffiti, illegal drugs and just plain dirty living conditions. Sure some energy will be saved by people not being able to own personal cars for transportation, and only be able to either walk or take trains and buses; but shouldn’t the people decide if they want to live like this, not the politicians?

But clearly, the most troubling aspect of this Florida County Commissioners meeting is the fact that the public that was present at this meeting was not given the chance to make comments or offer counter proposals to this agenda that was being shoved down their throats. This clearly was done in an undemocratic, unAmerican way, which proves that the government does not care about what the American people need for their well being.

During a recess in the meeting, Commissioner Wayne Dukes said that there were no plans to purchase any more land in Florida; but since Ronald Pianta said this program is State controlled and is ongoing; can the people of Florida really stop this program by not allowing any more land to be purchased in the future by the government?

Agenda 21 must be stopped and a County Commissioners meeting that does not  allow the public to comment and/or vote on such a topic that so seriously affects their lives, and the future of their children, should not take place. Americans have the right to decide what kind of lifestyle they want to live, not the government; and since Agenda 21 has such a servere potential to lower their quality of  life, surely the American people must have the deciding vote on such an issue. This can not be decided by politicians, who would not listen to the protest being made by the citizens of America.

This is not what America is about.
